ABOUT US

FROM the little girl whose name it carries to us, sisters and co-owners Clare and Joanne Rowbotham, Gracie’s Café Bar and Kitchen is a business with family and Hyde at its core.

Gracie’s, is named after Joanne’s granddaughter and we have constantly evolved since welcoming our first customers in December 2016. Gracie’s has become a family, our family.

Originally, we are a day-time cafe. When we reopen we are hoping to be part of the town centre’s early evening economy too.

With a full alcohol licence and extensive menu, we offer both drinkers and diners a little bit of everything.

We are both former Hyde High School pupils which previously had a cafe in Ashton but wanted grander designs for our business. Being Hyde born and bred, we both felt it was time to ‘come home’ to Hyde.

Looking at a number of closed premises, finding Aroma Café gave us a blank canvas to create something for Hyde that was different and unique. We put absolutely everything into it. We threw our hearts, souls and money into the place and built it up to where it is now.

Sadly, Covid 19 struck and we closed our doors on the 21st March, absolutely gutted as with many other businesses. This was essential, but devastating at the same time. With so much uncertainty we just did not know where we were headed. So many mixed emotions, so much tragedy.

We are now making plans for our re opening, working with information published by the Government and FSA guide lines to ensure we have the confidence to keep you safe when visiting Gracie’s.

We will be making some changes, but they will all be necessary as part of the new normal. You no us, and you no that we will do our best to keep Gracie’s an enjoyable part of Hyde. For you…

Thank you for keeping in touch and your continued support.

Be safe, look after yourselves and your families and we will look forward to seeing you all soon.

Love Clare and Joanne
